چکیده
Abstract Background To investigate long-term outcomes of prediction error after phacotrabeculectomy and to determine risk factors that may cause unstable in glaucoma patients. Methods A total 120 eyes patients who had underwent uncomplicated (combined group) or phacoemulsification (phaco-only were included. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), intraocular pressure (IOP) measured before surgery, anterior segment parameters including chamber depth (ACD), lens vault (LV), (AV) using anterior-segment optical coherence tomography compared between the two groups. The mean absolute (MAE) at 3, 6, 12, 24 months postoperatively compared. Risk associated with (MAE ≥ 0.5) investigated combined group. Results In both groups, BCVA was improved IOP decreased significantly. MAE not significantly different for 12 old age LV. Whereas, only factor predicting cut-off value LV refractive analyzed by ROC curve 0.855 mm. Conclusions Phacotrabeculectomy be an effective treatment stable similar glaucoma. However, elderly large predisposed phacotrabeculectomy.

Long-Term Outcomes and Complications of Trabeculectomy for Secondary Glaucoma in Patients with Familial Amyloidotic Polyneuropathy
OBJECTIVE Secondary glaucoma is a serious complication in patients with transthyretin (TTR)-related familial amyloidotic polyneuropathy (FAP). We assessed the long-term outcomes and complications of trabeculectomy with mitomycin C (MMC) for secondary glaucoma associated with FAP. METHODS Medical case records of Kumamoto University Hospital were retrospectively reviewed. Twenty-one eyes of 13 ...

Purpose. To evaluate primary trabeculectomy with adjunctive mitomycin-C (MMC) in diabetic patients without retinopathy with primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG). Design. This is a retrospective case series comparison. Participants. This retrospective trial compared outcomes of 88 eyes that underwent trabeculectomy in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) without retinopathy and in 97 patients w...

The safety and efficacy of phacoemulsification and posterior chamber lens insertion combined with the Pearce trabeculectomy (PE/PCL/P-TRX) in patients with coexistent cataract and glaucoma was evaluated retrospectively. The Pearce trabeculectomy is a form of nonfiltration glaucoma surgery in which an inner block containing trabecular meshwork is excised under a scleral-pocket incision which is ...

AIMS To compare outcomes of phacoemulsification combined with trabeculectomy (PT) or deep sclerectomy (PDS) with intraoperative mitomycin C (MMC) application. METHODS Non-randomised, consecutive, retrospective comparative study. 97 eyes of 97 patients (59 PDS, 38 PT) undergoing combined surgery with intraoperative MMC (0.1-0.4 mg/ml for 1-3 minutes) were identified for inclusion in the study....
